Healed or Healing?

It's been another minute but while I was gone, I was reminded that being "healed" is short lived. I mean are we ever really healed from past traumas and experiences or are we just in a constant process of healing? Ideally, I would like to say that the scab healed and the scar disappeared, but in actuality, the fact of the matter is the results of all experiences are still there whether we see them or not. With that being said, realistically, every human being is in a constant state of healing that comes in chapters.
At times, we get caught up with life and forget about what we've been through and think we are done with certain chapters of our lives until life comes and reminds us that we aren't really the divine present that is in control. Trauma, bad experiences, and old scars turn into bruises again. The thing is, there is no such thing as being 100%. I say that because 100% means perfect and no person, situation, or thing is perfect. When we are tired, been dragged through the mud, juggling too many things at once, sad for what we feel is no reason, and just beat up by life, is when life comes and shakes us most.
THE REMINDER
To be quite honest, we don't have the time or the space to list them all, but I will say this: no matter what you have been through, you will be reminded of your past experiences whether good or bad. And some experiences are extremely bad. Once our eyes have seen it, our minds will never forget some parts of it and THAT is why healing comes in chapters. We do the work and BOOM it seems like we can't even see the scar anymore. It's gone. It disappeared. It's hard to remember up until LIFE shows you otherwise.
With that being said, I ask: What are you dealing with? Who or what triggers the pain? Noticing when triggers are creeping up helps us guard ourselves from a harsh reality. Can you let it all go? Well of course you can. There is no sense in being the bag lady! But I guess I will get more into that on the next blog, and I promise not to take so long next time.
